Alex Osborn

Born in New York City, 1888, he graduated as Ph. B. in 1909 und Ph. M: in 1921 at Hamilton College. He worked as a reporter for the Buffalo (N.Y.) Times and for the Buffalo Express before entering the field of advertising, where he founded the advertising agency of Barton, Durstine and Osborn (NY/USA). It later merged with George Batton Co. to build one of the most renowned companies in the world: BBDO (Batten, Barton, Durstine & Osborn).

In 1954 he established the Creative Education Foundation, Buffalo, and served as its president until the close of his life. Alex died in 1966.
